Meeting ot the ESPA Innovation Awards 2018
The objective of the meeting was accomplished and the edition 2018 of the ESPA Innovation Awards is now open for entries, until April 8th 2018

The meeting, hosted by the ESPA 1st Vice-President, Mr. G. K. Jónson and Hveragerdi Clinic, three times winner of ESPA Innovation Awards. The objective of the meeting was accomplished and the edition 2018 of the ESPA Innovation Awards is now open for entries, until April 8th 2018.
Beside the meeting several activities were carried out by the members by the ESPA representatives. Highlights to the presentation of the NLFI Heilsustofnun Rehabilitation Clinic, by Mr. Ingo Por Jonsson (Marketing Manager of the Clinic and Chairman of the Icelandic Spa Association) and Ms. Margret Grimsdottir with special attention to the professional health care programmes of the clinic.
A special reception and a guided visit tour took place at Blue Lagoon. Hosted by Ms.Ása Brynjólfsdóttir, (Blue Lagoon's director of Research and Development) the ESPA representatives had the chance to learn about the scientific research that is being done at Blue Lagoon with patients with psoriasis.
At the end of the visit to Iceland, the ESPA representatives had the chance to experience nature from its core by bathing in the geothermal baths at the newest hot Spring spa "Krauma". The hot water originates in Europe's most powerful hot spring Deildartunguhver, 100km northwest from Reykjavik, at a temperature of 100°C. A fruitful meeting with the management took also place to discuss the business development of the hot springs natural spas in Iceland.
