All of us here know from experience that long-term success is only possible by offering top quality. Therefore, back in 2006 ESPA adopted uniform quality criteria with a view to achieving comparable quality throughout Europe. These criteria describe the demands and requirements which health resorts in Europe need to meet in order to satisfy health policy standards and other relevant guidelines in the European Union.
At the same time, a commercial company working closely with ESPA launched two EuropeSpa seals of quality: EuropeSpa Med and EuropeSpa Wellness.
These seals are recognised by ESPA as a quality initiative for health resort and wellness facilities – and over the past five years they have become the foremost quality certificates in Europe, confirming the high standards of certified facilities for both visitors and national authorities. The seals of quality are awarded on the basis of more than 800 criteria for EuropeSpa med and 1,300 criteria for EuropeSpa wellness, eighty per cent of which must be fulfilled.
